BULGARIA: Get living in Varna

SOFIA, Bulgaria (Sofia Echo), August 11, 2008: By Magdalena Rahn Who said that refined food products were bad for you? Obfuscating, or perhaps just apposing, what your doctor said, Nestle Bulgaria is holding its second Live Actively! initiative in Varna on August 12. Since it was started in Bulgaria three years ago, the project has drawn more than 20,000 people from their sofas and brought them into the streets, participating in walk-a-thons and other health-benefiting activities. For that is the goal of Live Actively! – to popularise the healthy influence of sport, physical movement, a balanced diet and an end to the sedentary lifestyle. The event on August 12, 2008 takes place at the second jetty in Varna (Rapongi complex), where a tent built for the event will be home to sport activities for all on the beach to try. Nana from bTV's programme Déjà Vu will MC the event. Professional instructors will give free-of-charge courses in yoga, dance aerobics, callanetics, tennis, volleyball and dances. And bring the kiddies along, because for them in particular, there will be a play area, contests and games. © 2001-2008, Sofia Echo Media Ltd
