CHINA: Dream Helps Elderly Man Strike It Rich

BEIJING (China Daily), July 26, 2006: An elderly man in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, who won 5 million yuan (US$616,500) in a national sports lottery claims that the lucky number came to him in a dream. He said that he got the number in a dream where a person was crying for help. In Chinese, the phrase for "help me" is "jiu, jiu wo," which sounds just like the number 995 in Chinese. Thanks to the dream, the old man won the top prize the very next day.
