Forty-seven senior citizens of Harmony India, in association with a group of mass media students, organised a Flash Mob yesterday evening at Mumbai's High Street Phoenix. Silver Innings, an NGO working towards creating elder friendly environment, partnered in organising the event.

Bachpan after Pachpan is a social initiative campaign run by a group of mass media students of Mumbai's Wilson College. The campaign aims at sensitizing the community, especially the youth about the issues faced by the Elderly today.

"The campaign focuses on Intergenerational Bonding because we believe that most of the problems faced by the Elderly (like Elder Abuse, Neglect etc) can be changed a great deal if the youth stand up for them."

"We at Bachpan after Pachpann (Childhood after 55) seek to make the lives of senior citizens pleasant at the twilight of their lives, creating an elder-friendly world, for the elderly to experience the joy of their childhood and youth even at this age", the organisers say.
