AFPAccording to the annual data provided by the Ministry of Health and Labour, the number of households composed of people over 65 years has exceeded for the first time in history the threshold of 10 million, reports the Nihon Keizai Shimbun . Now they number 10,207,000, or 21% of all Japanese households.
