GREECE:104 New Job Positions Implemented in Mani, Lakonia

The municipality of eastern Mani intends to hire 104 people as part of a community service program, by implementing major activities. The Municipality signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Institute of the Greek General Confederation of Labour on the implementation of the program.

The major activities, in which the job required concerns:

* Firstly, projects of fire protection, forest protection, preservation of areas of high natural beauty, reforestation and introduction of preventive measures.
* Secondly, restoration, aesthetic enhancement, improvement of the quality of urban environment, urban green enrichment, enhancement of important monuments in the municipality.
* Thirdly, care and support of people in need and promotion of active aging.
* Finally, sports promotion, improvement of public health and actions to preserve cultural heritage, promote tourism and development of municipality’s sustainability.

The 104 people who will be hired through the community service program must be unemployed, and must have a valid unemployment card, or OGA (Agricultural Insurance Organisation) low-income farmers and Greek citizens.
