PAKISTAN: No fare for senior citizens, disabled

LAHORE Transport Company Chairman Khawaja Ahmed Hassan has said that the citizens of more than 65 years of age and the disabled would be given free transport facilities in Lahore, the provincial metropolis.

He stated this while presiding over a meeting of the Board of Directors of the LTC here on Wednesday.

Hassan said the LTC would issue special cards and make arrangements for the registration of senior citizens and the disabled of the City.

The company would issue transport cards to the students for concession on fare tickets and it would make arrangements for the issuance of cards in consultation with the educational institutions.
