WAYNESBORO, Virginia / WHSV.com / News / September 2, 2009 By Sally Delta A local author has published a new book about finding joy in old age and he's got some experience in the topic, because he's 90. Lewis Coiner began his writing career only a few years ago with an autobiography. His latest book, "The Best Comes Last," talks about how to plan for a successful retirement. Coiner says it's important to pass on the heritage of each generation. He believes writing these books is his contribution to closing that generation gap. 90-Year Old Author In an excerpt from the book, Coiner reads, "In these trying times of recession, right now. I feel it is most important to reflect on the real meaning of life and the use we make of God's gifts as his stewards." Coiner's first book, "Strings," tells about his life. He is also expecting to release a third book, in the fall. [rc] Sally Delta E-mail: sgoin@whsv.com Gray Television, Inc. - Copyright © 2002-2009
