Age is no obstacle to a happy birthday adventure
For most of us a party with family and friends is a good enough way to celebrate a birthday, but 89 year old Stella Tillotson of LaHarpe isn't most people.
To skydive at any age requires a mixture of courage, curiosity, and a little bit of craziness. Stella Tillotson put all three of those characteristics on display today.
"I just get dumb ideas," said Stella Tillotson.
Her dumb idea?
"Trying to get me to go flying," said Stella Tillotson.
And flying she would go.
"I don't know if he shoved me out or if I just went out. Your just flying out there like a bird," said Stella Tillotson.
After her tremendous flight I had to ask Stella if her doctors approved.
"It wasn't any of their business," said Stella Tillotson.
With her birthday wish granted Stella already has her eyes set on her next birthday milestone.
"I'm figuring on doing it again on my hundredth," said Stella Tillotson. [rc]
