Octogenarian Sarla Panchal along with other senior citizens would have given any youngster a run for money as she matched her steps to the beating dhol. Panchal was adjudged Best Dadiji (grandma) during the special Navratri celebrations organized at a resort on the outskirts of city. Gandhinagar-based Narayani Resort in association with non government organisation, Help Age India, held a garba night for the people of old age home. More than 100 senior citizens from Hiramani Sandhya Jiwan Kutir, an old age home on SG Highway and Srimati Maniben Tribhovandas Matragrah, old age home situated at Paldi, participated in the garba celebrations. "This year, we came up with a village theme-based garba. We approached Help Age India for bringing senior citizens of old age home for the garba. It was pure joy to see the seniors dance away," said director of resort Rajiv Gupta.
