Gandhinagar-based Narayani Resort in association with non government organisation, Help Age India, held a garba night for the people of old age home.
More than 100 senior citizens from Hiramani Sandhya Jiwan Kutir, an old age home on SG Highway and Srimati Maniben Tribhovandas Matragrah, old age home situated at Paldi, participated in the garba celebrations.
"This year, we came up with a village theme-based garba. We approached Help Age India for bringing senior citizens of old age home for the garba. It was pure joy to see the seniors dance away," said director of resort Rajiv Gupta.
Narendra Patel, 80, who was adjudged Best Dadaji (grandpa), said, "The whole initiative was a heart warming gesture for us. We all really enjoyed it." [rc]
