KENNETH LEE, Trinidad and Tobago’s oldest Tai Chi practitioner at 88-years-old, has received an Instructor of the Year award on his birthday earlier this month.
His Tai Chi teacher Master Rahman Khabir presented the Diego Martin resident with the accolade. Lee also received instructional Tai Chi/Wushu DVDs donated by the International Wushu Federation China and Canadian Wushu Federation.
Lee is a recipient of Tai Chi’s numerous benefits despite starting Tai Chi at an elderly age. His passion for Tai Chi are the self defence techniques and practising the slow dance-like movements. Lee also helps senior citizens in the park maintain their fitness and health. [rc]
