USA: Elderly woman imagines love triangle

FORT WORTH, Texas / United Press International / Top News / July 8, 2009 An 84-year-old Texas woman has been found incompetent to stand trial for the slaying of a neighbor who she thought was trying to steal her boyfriend. Kristal Locke will be returned in a few days to a state hospital for the criminally insane, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Wednesday. Locke is accused of fatally shooting Linda Rae Porter, 55, in April, 2003. Police in Hurst, Texas, say Locke believed Porter was trying to steal her boyfriend. She purchased a .38-caliber revolver the day before the shooting and was arrested by police just minutes after it occurred. The man who Locke thought was her boyfriend told the Star-Telegram he did not have a relationship with Locke or the victim. [rc] © 2009 United Press International, Inc
