The celebration was held at the office of the Community Legal Education Centre, a local legal aid group, after monks prevented the group from meeting at Wat Lanka.
"They didn't give us a reason for disrupting the event," said a spokesman for the Myanmar activists who organised the event. "We are praying for someone who deserves freedom." [rc]
