The 55-year-old from Innviertel, Upper Austria, was stopped in a routine check yesterday (Mon) between Ried im Innkreis and the Innkreis motorway.
But cops grew suspicious when he handed them a licence with a damaged photo.
When they checked they found the licence belonged to the man’s father, who had the same name as him, and the man had been driving for 32 years without a licence after failing his driving test dozens of times as a 20-year-old.
Police say the size of the fine could take into account all trips he made over the last 32 years without a valid licence.
