GIBRALTAR: Scout Leader honoured for involvement with Senior Citizens

GIBRALTAR / Gibfocus / January 20, 2009 The Gibraltar Senior Citizens Association Newsletter GIBFOCUS reported yesterday that Scout Leader Joe Norton has been awarded the Gibraltar Award for his involvement with Gibraltar’s Senior Citizens. The association’s relationship with Joe goes back a few years when he was instrumental in the 1st/4th Scout’s Group offering their services to its members. He led a team that installed smoke alarms donated by Argos Insurance soon after the regretful incidents when two senior citizens lost their lives due to fire in their homes.
