USA: Man, 79, accused of sexually abusing 75-year old women will be arraigned

ROCHESTER, NY (News10NBC), September 4, 2008: The 79-year old man accused of sexually abusing an elderly woman at his business in Rochester will be arraigned in court today. Jack Staud was indicted by a grand jury last month. Jack Staud has already plead not guilty to charges in city court but will now have to be rearranged on the new charges. The indictment was handed down last month after the case against Staud was presented before the grand jury. Maria Milonni, the 75-year-old woman who accused Staud of sexually abusing her in his office back in April, testified before the grand jury. After we broadcasted Milonni's story last month at least four other women came forward saying Staud made inappropriate sexual comments and advances to them. All four were interviewed by the district attorney's office, but we don't know if they testified in front of the grand jury. Staud owns a security firm on Mount Read Boulevard and that's where the victims said the abuse happened. Staud is charged with one count of sex abuse, and two counts of criminal sex abuse The district attorney isn’t able to tell us if Staud testified at the grand jury hearing, but Staud's attorney has told us in the past he denies the charges and is going to put up a vigorous defense. © Copyright 2008 WHEC-TV, LLC
