Sister Judith Pinard, who celebrated her 110 years last 3rd July, has officially made her entry in the list of Living Supercentenarians of the World, with age authenticated and attested.
She ranks 78th on the list of oldest living persons on the planet whose age it has been possible to verify.
Sister Pinard is the only person to figure in the list maintained by the Gerontology Research Group of Los Angeles and can, therefore, for the moment, be named the doyen of Quebec.
Another Canadian, Emilie Lavoie of New Brunswick, is some months ahead of her being 110 years and 137 months old today. She ranks 73rd on the list of Supercentenarians.
Mary Josephine Ray, who is sixth on the list, is 113 years and 103 days old, is of Canadian origin, but lives in New Hampshire in the United States.
