ILFORD, Essex (Ilford Recorder), March 10, 2008:HOLOCAUST survivor Leon Greenman, who spent his life campaigning against racism and anti-semitism, has died aged 97.
Mr Greenman, of Ingleby Road, Ilford, who died on Friday, survived five Nazi concentration camps from 1942 to 45, where his wife Else and two-year-old son Barney were murdered in the gas chambers.
In 1998 he received an OBE for services to community relations.
