MONGOLIA: 94 People Are Over 100 Years Old

ULAANBAATUR (Zuunii Shuuan), February 4, 2008: Mongolia, with a total population of 2.6 million people, has 94 centenarians, people over 100 years old, living in the country. Mongolia’s leading newspaper, Zuunii Shuudan, reported last week that Mongolia’s oldest person is 108 years old and lives in the central province of Arhangay. The next oldest, at 107 years old, lives in Ulaanbaatur. Figures released by the government in 2007 showed the average life expectancy stands between 65 and 67 in Mongolia. Source: Mongolia-web.com
