USA: Do You Care For The Lonely Elderly?

SOUTH WASHINGTON COUNTY, Minnesota (The Bulletin), January 23, 2008: The lonely elderly: Letter from Julie Flynn, Newport I’m thinking about the elderly who are lonely. Some have no families and some have no one who cares. They live alone wishing for more. I have a passion, a dream and I know I need to live it for the rest of my life. I have a family who loves me, although I know the pain of being lonely. I am going to build or buy a home. This home will be for the lonely, for the elderly and will have a lot of things to do. Most importantly, it will be safe and there will be others (elderly and not so elderly) to chat with and share stories of the past and a lot more. This will be a nonprofit organization and that is why I am asking for help from anyone who can. If you’d like to volunteer or have ideas, I’d love to hear them. No, I don’t have a lot of money sitting in the bank to do this, but I know it will come. After all, if you do something sincere from your heart, do not all your dreams come true? Feel free to e-mail me with any questions or ideas. I look forward to hearing from you! My e-mail address is illstandbyyou2@yahoo.com © 2008 Forum Communications Co.
