USA: FDA Seizes Age Intervention Eyelash Product

Age Intervention Eyelash Product Seized by FDA, May Be Harmful to Eyes SAN JOSE, California (FoxNews), November 19, 2007: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says a product that claims to increase eyelash growth may also harm a person's vision, according to a report in the Fresno Bee. The FDA says it seized more than 12,000 tubes of Age Intervention Eyelash worth a total of $2 million from Jan Marini Skin Research of San Jose, Calif. The FDA warns that the product contains an unapproved drug that raises the risk of optic nerve damage or swelling or inflammation of the eye.
