The city of Kaliningrad now hosts a unique educational institution - a university for senior citizens and retired persons.
The institution is opened on the lines of the Baltic institute of economy and finances.

First students of the unusual university - 20 people of retirement age - will take a course in legislation. Graduates will obtain diplomas, which will officially state that the senior students have attended a lecture course in law. However this is not a state-recognized degree.
" The University for Seniors" will also teach its students computer literacy, using cell phones and home appliances, healthy lifestyle, literature and culture.
