UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: Dubai Plans Rest Home For Senior Citizens

DUBAI (Emirates Today), October 23, 2007: A Dh40 million rest home for the elderly is being built by Dubai Health Authority (DHA) to meet the needs of the aged. Qhadi Al Maroushed, DHA director-general, said the facility will be ready by next October and will be equipped to deliver high-quality health, social and recreational services to elderly citizens. "The 7,529 square metre shelter will be one of the most advanced in the country and will have a capacity of 30 beds," he said. © Emirates Today 2007
