INDIA: No House Tax for Old Age Homes in Goa

PANJIM, Goa (Herald), July 24, 2006: Urban Development Minister Joaquim Alemao today declared that charitable institutions like Old aged homes would be exempted from house tax. Replying to a debate on demands for grants to municipalities, fisheries, labour and employment, Alemao said the government would reimburse the municipalities for waiving off the house tax and construction licence to charitable institutions. © Herald Publications Pvt Ltd.
