SPAIN: Brutal Attack on Old Age Pensioner in Torrevieja

Malaga, Costa Blanca (typicallyspanish.com), January 29, 2006: A 22 year old Moroccan has been arrested by police in Torrevieja after a brutal attack on an old age pensioner, who surprised him in the act of trying to rob her home on El Chaparral urbanisation on Saturday. The old woman remains in the intensive care unit of Vega Baja Hospital, with serious head injuries and contusions on the rest of her body. Her attacker was arrested near his victim’s home, and will be charged with attempted murder. He did not manage to steal anything in the attempted burglary.
